On weekday mornings Gary co-host’s New Zealand’s award-winning More FM breakfast show. Come the weekend he often tours comedy shows with fellow entertainers and musicians, and is a firm favourite at corporate events.
Most recognised for the long-running iconic television series, Heartland, and documentaries such as The Bay Boys, Gary has been a regular on New Zealand’s screens since the 1980s. This former surfer and merry-go-round operator first came to public attention as a poet in the 1970s. Six books later he is still writing, notably the perennially popular and laugh-out-loud satirical ‘Doing the Thinking for You’, broadcast every morning on More FM.
